The Sounds Of February 27, 2006

Madden plays a phone conversation recorded before the first 911 call. It is Joseph Corr's voice. He is joking around with the voice on the other line (about a broken printer). There are a few light curse words. The courtroom gives a chuckle.

Tracie Corr is crying.

-Knowing what ultimately happens, it is surreal to hear these seemingly minor developments (such as a 911 hangup call) take place beforehand.

-Now the real 911 call. The boyfriend of a Lennon's employee reports the robbery.

-Now, the police transmissions. The chase ensues. Route 840 to Route 5 to Byrne Dairy.

-The transcript of the recording is displayed on a monitor for all to see. It is moving quickly. Healy follows along.

-"Shots fired" reported. We halt the playing of the transmission at 8:28pm that night.

-Wittman declines cross-examination. Madden is finished at 12:10pm. The Corr family takes a moment to dab their tears.

its obvious the Corr family is going to be upset during this trial. I don't think its news worthy nor do I think Andy Jenks needs to give us the play by play of what the Corr Family is doing in the court room. Its a no brainer. Their upset.

I think Andy is just reporting as he sees it and it's what is actually happening so he is giving a "real" account of the events inside the courtroom. Give him a break, he's doing a great job keeping us informed!

I think Andy is doing a great job. He is tring to capture the feeling in the court room as an observer. If you just want to see the testimony then I'm sure it will be available for the public line by line.

I am employed in New Hartford and have had contact with people directly related to Officer Corr.I find the job that Andy is doing to be remarkable. I truly appreciate the personal reflections he makes and the insight into the Corr family. We all feel for this family and will never forget the sacrifice that Joe and his family have made. The reflections on the family only help us to realize the pain that this family has endured and the compassion that we feel for them. It is the personal loving side to otherwise gruesome details of that fateful cold February night.

Andy is doing a very difficult task and is doing a fine job reporting what he is witnessing first hand. The Corr family is obviously very emotional and I could never imagine having to go through something like this. I give the NHPD, Corr family and Andy our hearfelt thanks and prayers to help them all deal with each process they have to go through, throughout this whole trial. Thank you to Andy for hepling others "see" what these men have done to hurt so many. To the NHPD and Corr family our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, hold your heads high. Joe will watch over you all as you fight for justice in his name.

You are doing a great job Andy, I feel as though I am present in a limited way. Your description of the Corr family's feelings is very sensitive and "fleshes" out the courtroom atmosphere for us. We are all emotionally involved in this trial as we have been since Feb. 27, 2006.

The people who don't "care" how the Corr family are reacting are "insensitive" at best. If you have never experienced a tragedy of this magnitude has no idea the grace in which this family is handling their pain, especially Tracie! I am sure they appreciate Andy showing some compassion instead of just "reporting" the cold hard truth!

The following morning my mother had notified me that JOE Corr had been shot & killed after the Lennon\Wilcox robbery; I retorted that it could have been Dan Herman?! I was & still am in disbelief. My heart goes out to Kelly CORR & her family. I would describe JOE as gung ho. I new him & his DAD through NHFD & that raised a brow!
