Murder: Guilty

3:31pm. John T. Healy has been found guilty of murder in the 2nd degree.

-There was little audible reaction from the gallery. There are, however, many tears from members of the Corr family.

-Sentencing: Thursday, March 22nd at 9:30am.

-Members of the gallery clapped when Healy was escorted from the courtroom. He appeared to clap his hands back at them.

-3:39pm. There are many hugs and handshakes to go around. Quiet satisfaction from the family and NHPD officers to the prosecutors.

An appeal would be as pointless as this trial... it may be his right to a fair trial but he didn't stand a chance.

Andy... amazing job on the blog. I couldn't hear the verdicts on TV but went right to WKTV and found out he was guilty on all counts nearly as it happened. Phenominal job with the coverage!

We have to wati until the end of March for the Sentencing phase of this but now Joe can Rest in Peace. We Love You Joe. Gone but not forgotten.

I say thanks to all of our local Law enforcement afficers in making this a very strong case. They do excellent work in serving the community. I also can not believe that he clapped when the trial was over. Lets hope that he enjoys his cell. Thanks again to all local Law enforcement for getting these people off the streets.

The jury found Healy guilty. He was guilty found so by his peers. Now the bleeding hearts will say a bunch of crap about the trial, well Wittman has delusions of grandeur, focused on a glove, kind of reminded me of the OJ Farce, well too bad they could not charge Healy with first degree murder, in any event, I hope Healy rots in jail for the rest of his life, and Officer Joe Corr can now rest in peace in Heaven...

There can be some closure for the Corr Family. Healy showed no remorse, and his clapping at the end of the trial shows the slimeball he really is. He got a fair trial, the appeal will amount to nothing. Now its off to prison for Healy. His buddy got what he deserved, too bad Healy did not get the same. Prison is too good for him. Rest in Peace Officer Corr. Gone but never forgotten.

That 3.33 comment must be from Philadelphia - his low-life, bottom of the barrel acquaintences. HA, HA! But you gotta agree, it was worth it just to wear a Rolex!! May he rot in prison!! There you go Cheryl - such sweet success!!

healy will now most likely go to pa and be charged with charges there on identity theft and thats federal so who knows if he will do state time or federal or both guess we'll see

Appeal? You gotta be joking!! At least he'll have lots of time to work at it!

to whoever commented about the 3:33 comment nope not even close to ny or pa but its a fact he has that right to appeal like it or not.

God Bless the Corr family (esp. showing what a great family they are by sticking together through this terrible tradegy), the employees of Lennon's-Wilcox (all - the ones there the night of the robbery and the others who had to return to work thinking it could have been them) to all the local (NH, Sheriff's and State Troopers) law enforcement, prosecuters, jurors, FBI, all that had to give testimonies and anyone else envolved getting justice done. God Bless you all, and here's one for you Joe!

To the Corr family, I hope this brings some comfort to you during this horrible ordeal. Your husband, son, father is a hero and will never be forgotten. John Healy will spend the rest of his miserable life behind bars, rightfully so. I salute to the New Hartford Police Dept. and all law enforcement officers within the Oneida County area. Thank you for keeping us safe and job that you do each and everyday. God Bless Joe Corr.

Healy's height of arrogance is demonstrated by him clapping his hands back at the Corr family. Well, Mr. Healy, let's see how much you clap your hands when your rotting in a prison cell for the rest of your worthless life. God Bless Joe Corr and his family. True life heros!

About Healy clapping with everyone. What did you expect, monkey see...monkey do

5:45 PM

I watched the verdict live on WKTV and was not sure why John Doe (aka John Healy) claped his hands twice my guess is that he was expecting on a guilty verdict and was happy when they came up with it? Any thoughts?
I would also like to thank Andy and WKTV for this blog i didnt have time to watch the news every night so to be able to recap here was great. Also to the Corr family God Bless! and lastly the NHPD thank you for doing a wonderful job and keep up the good work!

Hey 5:23, The law is very specific about participating in a crime and if someone innocent gets injured or killed, it's just like you meant to injure or kill them. I think we learned that in the 9th grade. One for the good guys! Rot in hell John, I know you'll see Walter there. When you're there, look up, you'll see Joe. That's the hell of it. See ya scumbag.

Ok back to the 5:23 comment. First of all it was a jewelry store not a bank. Your ignorance of the entire case show very well. I suggest you go back and read everything in the blog and all of the other information before you make a comment like that. According to most of the evidence it seams to me that he was very involved in the planning of this robbery. I hope the cell is cold and damp and very lonely.

God Bless the Corr family, NH Police Dept during this emotional event.

Thank You fellow jurors, you did very very well.

Rest in Peace Officer Corr, we got him!

This is just one small step for closure for the Corr family and those involved. On March 22, 2007 they will have more closure and I hope they tell John T. Healy what they feel and what they lost.

For those of us who weren't involved in this case but live in the surrounding area we will never forget the sacifice on February 27, 2006 we lost.

boo hooo it was the mans job hes the one who chose to chase a convict without even drawing his weapon nor having backup. just another dumbass cop gone.

I completely understand that he did not pull the trigger. I also understand the law in wich he was prosecuted under. I f you dont understand it contact a local LEO and have them explain it. Also as far as his name goes that is the only name he would give them. He has been using this name since 2003 or something like that. His DNA is probably what makes him the guy that was there not his name. Also I am using my name so refer to me by that and not the time I posted Thank YOu.

The comment made about a Dumbass cop is rude and not needed here. If you cant speak of the case then dont speak at all. Joe Corr would have jumped in fornt of you to save your life. He also would have ran into a burning biulding to save yours or your loved ones lives when you couldnt. God Bless Joe and please Keep those kind of comments to yourself.

I want to respond to the spineless anonymous that posted at 7:07. You my friend are the dumbass. You obviously are so out of touch with reality, that I find it hard to believe myself that I am responding to your ignorance. You have no idea what your local law enforcement people do for you on a daily basis and are paid peanuts for their potential sacrifice. You really need to get back to planet earth, and if things are not to your liking then I suggest contact Pres. Bush, he's looking for some friends to go to Iraq. You would fit right in with the rebels and terrorists as you seem to one yourself with that mentality, someone against the common good. I'll post more when I calm down.

Thin Blue...and all police officers who may be reading this blog...thank you for all that you do! Joe Corr is our hero and represents the spirit of law enforcement in Oneida County. I won't even waste my time responding to the creeps in this blog.

To all of the people that had their lives touch by Joe Corr in some way, my sympathy to you for the lose and pain you have endured through all of this.
To the Lennon "family" hats off to you all for your courage also.
NHPD you are one hell of a group of guys that the New Hartford community can always be proud off, Joe will always live on in all you do. Thank you!
Corr family you are absolutely amazing people and give new meaning to the word strength, god bless you all.
All law enforcement men and women thank you for serving our state/communities in the way you do everyday, sure there are some ignorant people always waiting to take a pot shot and make stupid comments, please hold your heads high and we can only pray for these people.
For the people with the likes of Healy and Richardson know that God will have the final say with them.

7:07 is Roger...the grammar and run on sentences to all of his other comments are identical. He's been posting as much as he can and nobody has agreed with him throughout the trial, so he sometimes posted anonymous comments getting people to think someone was agreeing with him. He made himself to obvious.
