"Push the button, we're getting robbed."

12:31pm. Stephen Lennon, part owner of Lennon's-Wilcox Jewelers, takes the stand.

-Lennon testified that on February 27 he was working on a customer's necklace when cousin Gary Lennon said, "Push the button, we're getting robbed."

-Heavyset black man with a mask rushed at Stephen, holding a gun. "Get on the (expletive) floor!" he said. Man asked where the videotapes were. Gary showed him to the video surveillance area.

-Stephen had recently read a trade magazine article on what to do during a jewelry store robbery. He did not make eye contact with the robbers. He looked straight at his hands.

-Stephen testified that he was moved from the floor of the workshop to the vault. He was grabbed by the back of his collar. "Get up!" a man said. Stephen was then tied up with the cords used for the video surveillance system. Later, he was able to free himself from the loose ties.

UPDATE:

-12:43pm. Stephen identifies the robbers' bag used to collect the stolen merchandise.

-Stephen saw two robbers in the store. He heard another man saying, "Just shoot 'em, just shoot 'em." He also heard cases being smashed. Robbers left. 911 was then dialed.

too bad an accomplice in the murder of a Police Officer won't get the Death Penalty in NYS....birds of a feather flock together and should get the best we have to deter this from happening again--too bad we can't hang them instead of a cell w/3meals, exercise, education and all the rest they didn't earn with their life of crime

I realize that in our day of time we have to have a trial by jury however This guy has his fait sealed! Why must we pay for his trial when we know what is going to happen to him. I just can not believe this system!

yea we know what will happen they will lessen the murder charge and he'll do life on whatever they lower it to and all the robbery charges.the judicial system is all messed up. i knew a younger fella who was arrested for stealing 12 dollars in gas and got a 1 1/2 -3 yrs .he'll end up with 25 to life almost bet on it seems to be a common figure for a case like this.look at all the shootings that happen around utica ny u never hear of anyone getting death sentence,i know he was a police officer and all and fell bad for him and his family but he was human just like all the rest who have been shot over a stupid act of violence and people not controlling themselves.

Healy, by his participation in this armed robbery and murder, if convicted, is just as culpable of the murder of Officer Corr as Walter Richardson, the actual trigger man. At least Richardson resisted arrest, shot at law enforcement officers in PA and gave the green light to arresting officers to practice their pistol shooting skills...thus relieving the taxpayers of NY State the financial responsibility of housing and feeding another piece of human filth for 30 years or so. Healy (if that's his real name and not some identity he stole) will likely be with us for decades, unfortunately.
God bless Joseph Corr for putting his life on the line to protect us all from human filth such as Richardson and Healy and their ilk!

It just absolutely discusts me that these criminals think they can waltz into someone's life, steal their possessions, terrify their employees and walk away happy that they accomplished their plan.

This is what they do, they take from others, give the jewelry away - remember not all the jewelry has been accounted for. They have their friends sell that jewelry and then they're on to the next store.

They have permenantly altered these poor employees lives. As far as they are concerned, the only thing that went awry here is the fact that someone ended up dead.

This is how they make their living, this is the type of people that end up right where they belong - in prison!! The sad thing is that there are hundreds of thousands more like these men. You gotta love those US Marshalls!!
